Tinubu Praises NDLEA for Dismantling Drug Syndicate

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu praised the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for its successful operation that dismantled a sophisticated Nigerian-Mexican drug trafficking network. The operation, announced on Wednesday by NDLEA Chairman Moham Buba Marwa, led to the arrest of foreign nationals and local drug kingpins, along with the seizure of chemicals and illicit drugs valued at $360 million.

Tinubu described this operation as a landmark achievement, demonstrating exceptional professionalism and commitment to safeguarding society from the devastating effects of narcotics. He urged the NDLEA to continue its fight against drug trafficking and organized crime, warning that West Africa is increasingly becoming a major transit hub for cocaine and synthetic drugs destined for Europe and North America.

The President called on Nigerians to support security agencies and remain vigilant in reporting suspicious activities within their communities, emphasizing that the success of the NDLEA sends a strong message that organized crime will not be tolerated in Nigeria.
