Tinubu Begins Two-Week Diplomatic Tour Across Three Nations

President Bola Tinubu departed Abuja on a two-week diplomatic tour to France, Kenya, and Rwanda, with the objective of strengthening Nigeria's global partnerships and advancing economic reforms. The trip commenced at 2 PM from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport aboard the presidential aircraft, Nigeria Air Force 1.

He was seen off by top government officials, including Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila and House of Representatives member Babajimi Benson. The tour marks Tinubu's first visit to France, where he is expected to participate in the Africa-France Summit scheduled for May 11-12, co-chaired by Emmanuel Macron and William Ruto.

The summit's theme is "Africa Forward: Africa-France Partnership for Innovative Growth," focusing on critical issues such as energy transition, green industrialization, digital transformation, climate action, and restructuring global financial architecture. Following France, Tinubu will proceed to Kigali, Rwanda, for the Africa CEO Forum on May 14-15, which will gather around 2,000 private sector leaders, investors, and policymakers to discuss economic transformation and cross-border investment.
