Tinubu Begins Two-Week Diplomatic Tour Across Three Nations

President Bola Tinubu departed from Abuja on a two-week diplomatic tour covering France, Kenya, and Rwanda, with the objective of strengthening Nigeria's global partnerships and advancing economic reforms. His official aircraft, Nigeria Air Force 1, took off from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at 2 PM.

He was seen off by top government officials, including Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila and House of Representatives member Babajimi Benson. This trip marks Tinubu's first visit to France, where he is expected to participate in the Africa-France Summit scheduled for May 11-12, co-chaired by Emmanuel Macron and William Ruto.

The summit will focus on critical issues such as energy transition, green industrialization, digital transformation, climate action, and restructuring global financial architecture. Following this, Tinubu will proceed to Kigali, Rwanda, for the Africa CEO Forum on May 14-15, which will gather around 2,000 private sector leaders and policymakers to discuss economic transformation and cross-border investment.
