Tinubu Appoints Shettima to Lead Nigeria's Delegation to 80th UNGA Session

Former Lagos Governor Tinubu has appointed Shettima to lead Nigeria's delegation to the 80th UNGA session from September 22 to 28, 2025. Shettima will deliver Nigeria's national statement on September 24 and attend various events, including a special climate event and a roundtable on housing.

Vice President Nkwocha will also participate in the UNGA activities, with a visit to Frankfurt, Germany, scheduled afterward. The delegation aims to represent Nigeria at the global event commemorating the 80th anniversary of the United Nations in New York, showcasing the country's commitments and engagements on international platforms.
