Tinubu Rewards Super Falcons with $100,000 Each

President Bola Tinubu has honored his promise of $100,000 to the Super Falcons following their historic victory at the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) held in Morocco, where they defeated Morocco 3-2 in the final. Each member of the squad will receive $100,000, along with a fully furnished three-bedroom apartment in Abuja’s Renewed Hope Housing Estate.
Additionally, all players and technical staff members will be conferred with the national honor of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON). The players received title documents for their apartments and certificates of the national honor during the 2026 WAFCON in July.
The National Sports Commission reported that the players have begun receiving payments totaling approximately ₦140 million, which is the naira equivalent of the promised $100,000 reward.
