Tinubu Gives Minister Tijani New Role, Announces 19 Other Appointments, Full List Emerges

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Bosun Tijani as the chairman of the Universal Service Provision Fund (USPF) board. The USPF was created by the federal government to ensure universal access to information and communication technology in rural and underserved areas of Nigeria.

Tijani will be supported by Idris Olorunimbe as vice chairman, and Aliyu Edogi Aliyu as the representative of the Ministry of Communication, Innovation, and Digital Economy. The board also includes members from various ministries and agencies, such as the Nigerian Communications Commission.

Tinubu had previously appointed Aminu Waida as the CEO of the NCC. The appointments aim to enhance communication and digital innovation in Nigeria, with a focus on bridging the digital divide in the country.
