Tinubu Government Allocates ₦2.45 Trillion for State Infrastructure and Security Projects

The government led by Tinubu has disbursed ₦2.45 trillion to the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) for infrastructure and security projects. The funds, released between March 2024 and August 2025, are intended to support state governments and the FCT in repairing roads, bridges, improving schools and healthcare facilities, and strengthening security operations.

This move is part of efforts to benefit communities nationwide and ensure the prosperity of Nigeria. The statement, made by a special adviser to the President, emphasized that such financial support is not unique to Nigeria, as federal governments worldwide provide funds to states and local governments to deliver essential services to their citizens.

The collaboration between Tinubu's government and other tiers of government is aimed at fostering the development of Nigeria.
