Tinubu's Administration Accused of Harassing El-Rufai

Paul Ibe, the media aide to Atiku Abubakar, criticized President Bola Tinubu's administration for allegedly harassing former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai after his defection from the All Progressives Congress (APC). Ibe stated that El-Rufai has spent 126 days in detention, which he characterized as a sham trial.

He made these comments on a Facebook post, marking the 126th day of El-Rufai's detention. Ibe accused the Tinubu-led APC administration of intimidation and harassment, asserting that the ongoing trial is politically motivated.

He called for peace and urged the administration to cease its actions against El-Rufai. The case is set to be adjourned until September, and the conditions of El-Rufai's bail have been described as punitive, aimed at prolonging his detention.
