Tinubu Meets Doguwa, Oyetola, Akpabio at Aso Rock

President Bola Tinubu conducted a closed-door meeting with Alhassan Ado Doguwa, the member representing Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency of Kano State in the House of Representatives, at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja. Doguwa arrived at 7:15 pm, approximately 20 minutes after Gboyega Oyetola, the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, who was seen arriving at the premises following the recent victory of his successor, Ademola Adeleke, in the August 15 Osun State governorship election.

Godswill Akpabio, the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, arrived at the forecourt of the President’s office at 6:12 pm, with Dele Alake, the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, also present at the Villa within the hour. The specific agenda for these meetings has not been disclosed.

Additionally, the Independent National Electoral Commission has set August 19, 2026, as the start date for official political campaigns ahead of the 2027 elections.
