Bode George Accuses Tinubu of Undermining Democracy

Bode George, the former deputy national chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), criticized President Bola Tinubu for allegedly ignoring his constitutional duties as a leader in Nigeria. George accused Tinubu of focusing on using the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to destroy opposition parties rather than addressing the country's insecurity issues.

In a statement made on Thursday, George referenced biblical examples, specifically the story of Abimelech, to illustrate his concerns about the current political climate. He claimed that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and INEC are conspiring to ensure a single candidate for the 2027 general elections.

George warned that such actions could lead to the gradual collapse of Nigeria's democracy and urged citizens to resist these developments. He also expressed concern over the rising insecurity in the country, stating that people are being killed while the president is preoccupied with political maneuvering.
