Tinubu Joins World Leaders in Tokyo to Woo Investors, Shape Africa’s Future

President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Tokyo to participate in the Ninth edition of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9). This marks his first official visit to Japan since taking office in May 2023.

Tinubu aims to attract Japanese investors to Nigeria and strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries. The conference focuses on economic transformation, private investment, and institutional development across Africa and Asia.

Tinubu will engage in plenary sessions and hold bilateral meetings with world leaders and Japanese business executives to promote Nigeria as a prime investment destination. TICAD9, a premier diplomatic and economic forum, aims to foster sustainable development and deepen partnerships between Japan and African countries.

The event will also address issues such as economic integration, human resource development, and industrialization to drive economic growth and social development in Africa.
