Tokyo conference: Nigeria’s delegation will arrive 24hrs before close of summit – FG

Nigeria's official delegation to the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) will arrive 24 hours before the summit's conclusion, according to the Federal Government. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified that despite concerns raised on social media about the absence of Nigeria's booth at the event, it is scheduled to be officially inaugurated on Thursday, August 21, 2025.

The ministry emphasized that the Nigerian booth at TICAD9 has not yet been opened and will become fully operational after its inauguration. President Bola Tinubu is among the African leaders attending the summit in Yokohama, Japan, which began earlier in the week and is set to end on Friday, August 22, 2025.
