Nigerian Senate Passes MTEF as Tinubu Set to Present 2026 Budget

The Nigerian Senate has approved the 2026-2028 Medium-Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and Fiscal Strategy Paper (FSP), paving the way for Bola Tinubu to present the 2026 budget estimated at N54.4 trillion. The Senate's Finance Committee Chairman, Sani Musa, announced the approval, allowing the National Assembly to receive the budget proposal.

Senate President Godswil Akpabio expressed optimism about the project's realism and the federal government's ability to effectively implement it, renewing hope for the nation's agenda.
