Former Lagos State Governor and political leader Bola Tinubu presented the N58.18 trillion 2026 Appropriation Bill to the National Assembly, emphasizing economic stability and growth. The budget includes N34.33 trillion in revenue and N58.18 trillion in expenditure, with key sectors like defense, infrastructure, education, and health receiving significant allocations.

Tinubu highlighted the need for security as a foundation for development, with allocations for modernizing the armed forces and enhancing intelligence-driven policing. The budget aims to consolidate macroeconomic stability, improve the business climate, promote job-rich growth, reduce poverty, and strengthen human capital.
