Tinubu Mourns Former UBA Chairman Isreal Ogbue

President Bola Tinubu expressed his condolences following the death of Chief Isreal Ogbue, the former Chairman of the United Bank for Africa (UBA), who passed away at the age of 99. In a statement issued on Sunday, Tinubu commiserated with Ogbue's family, friends, and associates.

Ogbue had a distinguished career in the federal civil service and the banking sector, serving as a non-executive director at UBA from 2005 until his appointment as chairman in 2011, a position he held until 2013. Throughout his tenure, he displayed dignity, strategic foresight, and provided steady leadership during a transformative period for the bank.

Ogbue was also recognized for his commitment to public service, his Christian faith, and his dedication to serving vulnerable communities. Tinubu acknowledged the numerous testimonies praising Ogbue's exemplary life and extended his sympathies to the UBA board, management, and staff.
