Tinubu Promises Equitable Development in FCT

On Thursday, President Bola Tinubu committed to equitable development across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) while commissioning the Kuje-Airport Expressway in Abuja. He assured residents that his administration would not relent until the dividends of democracy are evenly distributed across the territory.

The project, completed under the supervision of Vice President Kashim Shettima, aims to enhance infrastructure in Abuja and its satellite communities. Tinubu emphasized that the airport corridor serves as a vital transport route and is crucial for shaping visitors' first impressions of Nigeria.

He highlighted the need for ongoing investments in roads, street lighting, drainage systems, and security infrastructure. The Minister of State for FCT, Mariya Mahmud, noted that the completed expressway significantly reduces travel time between Kuje and Abuja city center, stimulating commercial activity and boosting property values in the area.

The project is part of Tinubu's agenda to improve the welfare of residents and restore hope in the community.
