Tinubu Launches Abuja Road Project to Boost Economy

On Tuesday, President Bola Tinubu inaugurated the Abuja Outer Southern Expressway project, which links Ring Road 1 and Ring Road 2 in the Federal Capital Territory. This initiative is part of the government's efforts to expand infrastructure and drive economic development in the capital.

During the ceremony along Osex Wasa Road, Tinubu emphasized the importance of hard work and tangible results, stating that the administration is committed to delivering visible improvements in citizens' lives. He highlighted that the project aims to unlock the potential of the city, create jobs, and ease the lives of market women and corporate workers.

The first stage of the project, which includes a 15-kilometer service carriageway, is expected to be completed by June 2024. Tinubu commended the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, for his leadership and commitment to ensuring the project's timely execution.

The construction firm CGC was awarded the project, which is set to significantly reduce traffic congestion and enhance economic efficiency in Abuja.
