Tinubu Celebrates Nebolisa Arah's 75th Birthday

President Bola Tinubu extended his congratulations to Nebolisa Arah, the first Managing Director of Fidelity Bank, as he celebrated his 75th birthday. In a statement released by his Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu praised Arah for his substantial contributions to the banking sector and his commitment to professionalism.

He noted that Arah laid a foundation of integrity and professionalism for Fidelity Bank and the banking industry at large. Arah became the founding Managing Director of Fidelity Union Merchant Bank, which later transformed into Fidelity Bank in 1988, at the age of 37, and he led the bank for 15 years.

After retiring for five and a half years, he was called by the Central Bank of Nigeria in 2009 to help reposition a bank taken over by the regulator and was appointed to the Governing Board of the CBN the same month. Arah also championed various philanthropic causes, including support for the Spinal Cord Injuries Association in Lagos.
