Tinubu, Sanwo-Olu Honor Fasoranti at 100th Birthday

On Friday, President Bola Tinubu, represented by his Chief of Staff, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, attended the centenary celebration of elder statesman and Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, at the MUSON Centre in Onikan, Lagos.

The event gathered prominent figures, including Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, former Ogun State Governor Aremo Olusegun Osoba, and others, to honor Fasoranti's contributions to the Yoruba race and Nigeria as a whole. The theme of the celebration was “A Century of Courage and Stewardship of Yoruba Democratic Legacy.” Governor Sanwo-Olu's deputy, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, emphasized the need for a coordinated development agenda for the South-West region, highlighting the importance of budgeting in planning.

Aiyedatiwa praised Fasoranti's moral integrity and knowledge of national events. The event underscored Fasoranti's significant impact on Yoruba culture and democracy.
