Tinubu Replaces Dankaka, Names Ayo Omidiran New FCC Chairman

President Bola Tinubu has appointed former Osun State House of Representatives member Ayo Hulayat Omidiran as the new Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC), replacing Dr. Muheeba Dankaka.

This decision comes after Dankaka's controversial reappointment for a second term. Tinubu also appointed Mohammed Musa as the Commission's secretary and retained Kayode Oladele as the Ogun commissioner.

Several other commissioners were either reappointed or newly appointed to represent various states. The statement also mentioned the renewal of appointments for Lawal Ya'u Roni, Abubakar Atiku Bunu, Eludayo Eluyemi, and others for a second term.

The appointments aim to ensure fair representation and adherence to federal character principles within the FCC.
