Tinubu Appoints Veteran Journalist Odion, Rabiu As FCCPC Executive Commissioners

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Louis Odion and Ummasalma Rabiu as Executive Commissioners of the Federal Competition Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC). Odion, a veteran journalist from Edo State, previously served as a senior technical assistant to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and holds two Master's degrees in Modern War Studies and International Law Diplomacy.

Rabiu, a 35-year-old from Kano State, founded the Usir Foundation focused on empowering underprivileged individuals through education and skill development. The appointments are subject to confirmation by the Senate as required by the FCCPC Act 2018.

Rabiu is known for his grassroots political engagement and advocacy for inclusive governance, with a degree in Business Administration. The appointments were announced in a press statement by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information Strategy.
