Bola Tinubu Seeks Senate Approval for N43.5 Trillion Fund Allocation

Nigerian politician Bola Tinubu has urged the Senate to approve a bill aimed at overhauling the appropriation process for 2024. In a letter read by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Tinubu proposed a N43.5 trillion fund allocation, including statutory transfers, debt servicing, recurrent and capital expenditures.

The bill aims to enhance transparency, accountability, and high capital performance rates. Tinubu emphasized the need for timely and responsible spending to bolster national security and fiscal discipline.
