Tinubu Reviews APC Campaign Council Amid Corruption Concerns

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is undertaking a review of the APC 2027 Presidential Campaign Council's composition due to allegations of corruption among its members. Tinubu will chair the council, with Vice President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman Professor Nentawe Yilwatda serving as Vice Chairmen I and II, respectively.

Former Zamfara State Governor Senator Abdulaziz Yari is appointed as Director-General, while Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma will act as Secretary. Political stakeholders have criticized the list, citing concerns over the inclusion of individuals with questionable integrity and the exclusion of experienced members.

Sources indicate that the inauguration date has not been set as the list requires adjustments. However, it is suggested that the leadership positions of the DG and Secretary will remain unchanged.

The review aims to address the concerns about the council's membership, which has been described as suffering from major defects, including the presence of individuals facing corruption charges and omissions due to oversight.
