Tinubu Nominates Ismail Yusuf as NAHCON Chairman, Seeks Senate Approval

Bola Tinubu, a prominent Nigerian politician, has put forward Ismail Abba Yusuf as the nominee for the Chairman and CEO position at the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON). This nomination is subject to approval by the Senate, as per the provisions of the NAHCON Act of 2006.

Yusuf, a career diplomat who served as the Nigerian Ambassador to Turkey from 2021 to 2024, is set to take over from Prof. Abdullahi Usman, who vacated the position 14 months ago.

Tinubu's request for Yusuf's swift confirmation was communicated in a letter sent by Bayo Onanuga to the Senate President, Godswil Akpabio. The appointment of Yusuf, a seasoned diplomat, is expected to bring his wealth of experience to the leadership of NAHCON.
