Senate Confirms Dakingari as Ambassador, Yusuf as NAHCON Chair

On Thursday, the Nigerian Senate confirmed Usman Dakingari as a non-career ambassador and Ismail Yusuf as the chairman and chief executive officer of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON). The Senate's decision came after considering and adopting a report submitted by the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, chaired by Sani Bello.

The committee had previously screened the nominees and found them suitable for their respective positions. The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, expressed gratitude to the committee and the Senate for their support in confirming the appointments.

He congratulated the nominees and wished them success in their various assignments.
