Tinubu Launches New EFCC Zonal Office in Ekiti

On Tuesday, President Bola Tinubu inaugurated a new zonal office for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Ado Ekiti, reinforcing the federal government's anti-corruption initiatives. During the inauguration, Vice President Kashim Shettima described the facility as a strategic investment in Nigeria's fight against economic and financial crime.

Shettima commended EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoye for his commitment to building a stronger institution capable of confronting emerging financial crimes. The new office, located along Old Iyin Road in Ado Ekiti, aims to improve the speed and efficiency of investigations and prosecutions, addressing long-standing operational challenges in Ekiti and Ondo states.

Governor Biodun Oyebanji noted that the state government provided substantial support for the project, including office accommodation and a generator. The establishment of this zonal office is expected to enhance access to justice for victims of financial crime and strengthen the EFCC's presence in the region.
