Tinubu Swears in Oyedele as Minister for Tax Reform

On March 3, 2023, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu swore in Oyedele as Minister during a brief ceremony at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. This appointment followed the Senate's confirmation of Oyedele's nomination, which was submitted by President Tinubu in a letter addressed to Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

According to Section 147(2) of the 1999 Constitution, Oyedele is set to serve as the Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reform, with the mandate to spearhead an overhaul of Nigeria's tax system. Oyedele replaces Dr.

Dori Uzoka, who has been redeployed to the Ministry of Budget and National Planning. This appointment marks Oyedele's third portfolio under President Tinubu's administration.
