NDF Urges Tinubu to Declare Emergency in Katsina and Zamfara States

The New Democratic Frontiers (NDF) has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to declare a state of emergency in Katsina and Zamfara states due to the escalating violence, which has reportedly claimed 140 lives in two months. The call for emergency rule follows a surge in violent attacks, including the recent massacre in Malumfashi where worshippers were killed inside a mosque.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has criticized Tinubu's handling of the security crisis, emphasizing the need for urgent government intervention to protect lives in the affected states. The NDF spokesperson, Dare Glintstone Akinniyi, highlighted the deteriorating security situation in the region and called for immediate action to address the ongoing violence.
