Tinubu Launches Major Health and Education Initiatives

On Friday, President Bola Tinubu commissioned new health facilities and educational projects across Nigeria, marking the third anniversary of his administration. He pledged to provide Nigerians with quality healthcare comparable to that sought abroad.

Special Adviser to the President, Bayo Onanuga, disclosed that this commissioning represents the largest single-day investment in federal health in Nigeria's history. The initiatives include the launch of a specialist hospital complex in Abuja, an emergency medical service fleet comprising 145 tricycle ambulances, six boat ambulances, and 79 new emergency ambulances.

Additionally, Tinubu commissioned four educational infrastructure projects across Nasarawa, Kaduna, Jigawa, and Bauchi states. The new primary health centers and mental health facilities aim to enhance healthcare access and address drug-related conditions in the region.

The projects are supported by various organizations, including the World Bank and the Gates Foundation, and are expected to significantly improve healthcare delivery in Nigeria.
