Tinubu Reaffirms Commitment to Nigerian Welfare in Karu

On Monday, President Bola Tinubu reaffirmed his administration's commitment to improving the welfare of Nigerians while inaugurating a newly rehabilitated and expanded road at the Karu interchange near the Custom Clinic junction. This initiative is part of a broader policy program aimed at enhancing livelihoods and driving national development.

Tinubu, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, noted that the road expansion is not merely about laying asphalt but revitalizing local economies. He highlighted the significance of the Karu corridor as a critical gateway for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and neighboring states, which has been plagued by severe traffic congestion.

The newly constructed road is expected to significantly reduce daily travel time and eliminate frustrating gridlocks, thereby creating a conducive environment for businesses. Tinubu attributed the rapid physical transformation across Abuja to a relentless focus on supervising the Ministry of the Federal Capital Territory, led by Nyesom Wike, who emphasized the need for residents to protect the infrastructure from vandalism.
