Tinubu Calls Traditional Rulers to Lead Peace Initiatives

On a recent occasion in Lagos, President Bola Tinubu called upon traditional rulers to serve as frontline peace builders, highlighting their essential role in grassroots stability amid rising security challenges in Nigeria. This appeal was made during the launch of Dr. Samuel Olu Fala's autobiography, where Tinubu represented the event alongside Senator George Akume.

He emphasized that traditional institutions are indispensable to governance, particularly during times of social fragmentation and heightened security concerns. Tinubu urged monarchs to actively engage in addressing the country's security issues and to promote dialogue and peace within their domains.

He described the event as a gathering of political leaders, traditional rulers, and diplomats, reflecting on the importance of leadership in national service. Tinubu praised Fala's legacy in public service and economic management, noting his contributions during critical periods in Nigeria's fiscal policy.
