Tinubu Urges Traditional Rulers to Enhance Security Unity

On Thursday, during the launch of Samuel Oluyemisi Olu Falae's autobiography in Lagos, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu called on Nigeria's traditional rulers to play a proactive role in tackling the nation's security challenges and promoting unity across diverse communities. Tinubu emphasized that traditional institutions must rise to current national demands and serve as frontline agents in peacebuilding and conflict resolution, rather than limiting their roles to ceremonial functions.

He stated that ensuring peace and security is a collective duty, not solely the responsibility of the government. The President commended the distinguished service of Falae, a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, highlighting his contributions to Nigeria's economy and cultural leadership.

Tinubu reaffirmed his administration's commitment to strengthening collaboration with traditional institutions, noting that Falae's autobiography serves as a testament to resilience, patriotism, and integrity, offering valuable lessons for future generations of leaders.
