Tinubu Calls for Police Neutrality Ahead of 2027 Elections

Tinubu highlighted that the police's neutrality is crucial for public confidence in the electoral process. He discussed the importance of careful preparation, intelligence-led operations, and effective coordination among security and electoral stakeholders for the upcoming elections.

The President reaffirmed the Federal Government's commitment to police reforms, advocating for investments in personnel, training, technology, and community engagement. He commended Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu and the Police Management Team for their efforts in addressing security challenges and urged senior officers to develop a roadmap for election security.
