Tinubu Urges Stronger Security Measures Amid Challenges

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, during a meeting with Vice President Kashim Shettima and state governors, asserted that insecurity must not overshadow Nigeria's development efforts. The discussions included collaboration with French President Emmanuel Macron to enhance security measures.

Tinubu urged state governors to remain resilient and translate their visions into policies that directly benefit citizens, particularly in light of inflationary pressures exacerbated by the Middle East crisis. He advised governors to provide incentives to cushion the impact of rising energy and transport prices.

The meeting also involved various governors, including Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State and Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, who expressed gratitude for the President's visionary agenda. The Nigerian Governors' Forum is expected to document contributions to the national assembly regarding state policing.

Tinubu's recent state visit to the United Kingdom was noted as a significant step in strengthening Nigeria's international relationships.
