APC Chieftain Confident Tinubu Will Win 2027 Elections

In an interview on Channels Television's Sunday Politics program, Senator Abubakar Yusuf, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), asserted that President Bola Tinubu will secure victory in the 2027 elections despite his administration's poor performance. Yusuf emphasized that there are no significant opposition challengers who can unite to unseat Tinubu, attributing this to the disunity among opposition leaders.

He cautioned President Tinubu against overly relying on the support of APC governors leading up to the elections, arguing that this could lead to a lack of genuine voter support. Yusuf warned that failure to properly manage internal party dynamics, especially regarding candidate selection, could trigger conflicts within the APC, potentially weakening the party's position ahead of the elections.
