Tinubu Secures APC Primary Victory in Abia State

Bola Ahmed Tinubu emerged victorious in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary held in Abia State, securing a landslide victory with a total of 161,005 votes. His closest competitor, Stanley Osifo, received only 1,007 votes.

The primary election took place across 17 local government areas in Abia State, with a total of 162,109 registered APC members eligible to participate. Out of these, 162,084 members were accredited, and a total of 162,012 votes were cast.

The results were officially announced by the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon.

Benjamin Okezie Kalu. Tinubu's strongest performances were recorded in several local government areas, including Bend, where he received 39,826 votes, and Umuahia North, with 14,943 votes.

Kalu declared Tinubu the winner, confirming that he scored the highest number of valid votes cast, thus satisfying the party's requirements. The exercise concluded peacefully without major incidents, further solidifying Tinubu's position within the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
