Tinubu Dominates APC Presidential Primary, Secures Victory

Bola Tinubu, the current president, achieved a decisive victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary, defeating his only challenger, Stanlei Osifo. The primary took place across 8,809 wards nationwide, with significant endorsements from party structures, including the national executive committee and various state governors.

Tinubu's candidacy for a second term in the 2027 general elections was affirmed as he received overwhelming support, while Osifo garnered negligible votes. The primary was monitored by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and was described as peaceful and orderly.

In Kaduna, APC members across 255 political wards unanimously endorsed Tinubu. In Bayelsa, Tinubu received 277,192 votes, while Osifo only secured five votes.

The exercise demonstrated internal democracy within the APC, with participation from grassroots members and compliance with electoral procedures.
