Tinubu’s Aides Visit Designated Hometown For Nigerians In Japan

A delegation of aides to Bola Tinubu, a prominent Nigerian politician, visited the designated hometown for Nigerians in Japan following the conclusion of the ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9). The city of Kisarazu was officially announced as a settlement hub for Nigerians in Japan.

This move is part of a strategic effort to deepen cultural diplomacy, promote economic growth, and enhance workforce productivity. The Japanese government has also created a special visa category for highly skilled and talented young Nigerians who wish to relocate to Kisarazu to live and work.

The Nigerian Charge d'Affaires and Acting Ambassador, along with the Mayor of Kisarazu, received certificates from the Japanese government naming Kisarazu as the hometown for Nigerians in Japan. This initiative aims to strengthen the partnership between Nigeria and Japan and provide opportunities for Nigerians to upskill and benefit from working in Japan.
