Tinubu's Concrete Road Initiative Prevents Aviation Tragedy

David Umahi, the Minister of Works, stated that President Bola Tinubu's concrete road initiative played a crucial role in preventing a potential tragedy in Delta State. A private aircraft reportedly encountered distress while attempting to land at Asaba Airport on Wednesday morning but was able to safely stop on a concrete road built in the Ogwashi Uku area.

Umahi's media assistant, Franci Nwaze, issued a statement emphasizing that the concrete road provided a stable surface during the emergency landing, allowing the aircraft to stop without loss of life. This incident underscores the importance of durable infrastructure in ensuring safety during unexpected situations.

The statement also noted that the federal government, under President Tinubu, continues to promote the use of concrete pavement for major roads nationwide, as these roads are designed to withstand heavy pressure over long periods. The Aviation Authority is currently investigating the incident at Asaba Airport.
