Ex-Kwara Deputy Speaker Critiques Tinubu's Government

The former Deputy Speaker of Kwara State criticized President Bola Tinubu's government, stating it is popular for the wrong reasons, particularly due to its failure to tackle insecurity and corruption. He highlighted that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) aims to provide a real opposition in Kwara State, where insecurity has reached alarming levels.

The former deputy speaker pointed out that farmers are unable to cultivate their lands due to banditry, and the government has been ineffective in negotiating with terrorists. He expressed concerns over the government's borrowing practices, stating that the budget is not being effectively utilized, with only 10 percent of the capital budget released.

He questioned the transparency of budget management, alleging that funds are being misappropriated. The ADC leader called for serious leadership to address these issues, emphasizing the need for fair and free elections to bring about change.

He also dismissed allegations that the APC sponsors the ADC in Kwara State.
