Tinubu's Government Deploys 7,000 Forest Guards to Tackle Banditry in Nigeria

The Nigerian government, under Tinubu's leadership, has deployed 7,000 newly recruited forest guards to tackle banditry in the country's forests. The initiative, announced by the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), aims to strengthen security and protect Nigeria's forests from criminal exploitation.

The forest guard graduates from seven frontline states underwent a rigorous training program before deployment. President Tinubu directed the forest guards to be armed with necessary weapons to combat terrorism.

The program, with a high completion rate of 98.2%, is part of efforts to enhance security and curb criminal activities in Nigeria's ungoverned areas.
