Nigerian Govt Deploys 7,000 Forest Guards to Tackle Insecurity

The Nigerian government, led by Tinubu, has deployed 7,000 newly trained forest guards in seven pilot states, including Adamawa, Borno, Kwara, Kebbi, Niger, Sokoto, and Yobe. These guards, trained intensively under Ribadu, will focus on combating insecurity and criminal activities in forest hideouts.

The initiative aims to strengthen security operations, gather human intelligence, and restore government presence in areas previously neglected. The program involves collaboration with various security agencies like the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Navy, Nigeria Police Force, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
