Tinubu's Agenda Focuses on Health Sector Development

Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, the Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, announced that President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda places a strong emphasis on the development of the health sector across Nigeria.

This statement was made during the inauguration of a national health convention roundtable organized by the Progress Congress and the APC Medical Council in Abuja on Wednesday. Dr.

Mahmoud highlighted Tinubu's commitment to revitalizing primary healthcare (PHC), expanding health insurance coverage, improving health financing, and enhancing workforce welfare. She commended the leadership of the APC Medical Council for aligning with the party's vision of a people-centered government focused on sustainable development.

The minister described the roundtable discussions as timely and urged participants to deliberate on improving PHC and maternal and child health outcomes while addressing ongoing health challenges. She affirmed the administration's alignment with national health vision and commitment to collaborative efforts to enhance access to quality and equitable healthcare delivery, supported by significant resource allocation to strengthen the FCT healthcare system.
