Wike: FCT Projects to Continue Until 2027 Under Tinubu

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), stated that the FCT Administration will maintain its focus on infrastructure delivery, asserting that project execution will persist until the conclusion of President Bola Tinubu’s first term on May 29, 2027. During an inspection of ongoing road projects, including the Apo–Karshi and Bwari–Kubwa roads, Wike dismissed calls for the administration to wind down its activities.

He indicated that the FCT Administration aims to complete between eight and ten strategic road projects by the end of the year, with contractors receiving prompt funding to meet deadlines. Wike expressed satisfaction with the progress on the Apo–Karshi road, which was originally awarded in 2010 and had faced delays before being re-awarded to SCC Nigeria Limited.

He acknowledged the challenges of the Bwari–Kubwa road project but assured contractors that funding would not be an issue. Wike emphasized the importance of fulfilling promises to the people and maintaining their confidence.
