Trabzonspor Rejects Fulham's Bid for Chibuik Nwaiwu

Trabzonspor has turned down Fulham's second bid for defender Chibuik Nwaiwu, which was approximately €28 million, including a guaranteed €25 million and an additional €3 million based on performance-related add-ons. The Turkish club insists that they will not sanction a sale below their valuation of the player, which is set between €30 million and €35 million.

Fulham had previously seen a €20 million offer rejected last month. Nwaiwu joined Trabzonspor from Austrian side Wolfsberg AC in January and quickly established himself as a regular, contributing to the club's third-place finish in the Super Lig, which qualifies them for the next season's UEFA Europa League.

The 22-year-old's performances have attracted interest from several European clubs, including West Ham United, Napoli, Bayer Leverkusen, and Leeds United. Trabzonspor is under no pressure to sell Nwaiwu, who is under a long-term contract, but Fulham is expected to return with further offers as they continue their pursuit of a central defender ahead of the new Premier League season.
