Tragedy as Armed Robbers Stab Bauchi Poly Student To Death

A tragic incident occurred at Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic in Bauchi, where a National Diploma II Mass Communication student was stabbed to death by suspected armed robbers during an attempted robbery at his residence on Friday, August 22, 2025. Eyewitnesses reported that two attackers gained access to the student's residence by scaling a back fence while carrying a bright torchlight.

The student, who was confirmed dead due to excessive bleeding, was rushed to the hospital. The Bauchi State Commissioner of Police and the Rector of the institution visited the crime scene, with police personnel deployed to the area following a series of recent attacks on students in the area.

This incident adds to a string of similar crimes, including the recent arrest of a suspect in Rivers State for allegedly killing a sex worker.
