Bandits Attack Jigawa Polytechnic Hostel, Injure Students and Steal Phones

Bandits caused panic at Bilyaminu Usman Polytechnic in Jigawa State by attacking a male hostel, injuring students, and stealing mobile phones. The incident occurred late Thursday night when the attackers stormed the hostel, causing chaos and injuring several students.

Eyewitnesses reported that the bandits attempted to abduct a student but fled when neighbors rushed to help upon hearing the commotion. Two students were injured and taken to Hadejia General Hospital for treatment.

Police spokesperson Shi'isu Adam confirmed the incident, mentioning swift response from nearby officers to the distress call. The students narrated their ordeal of being attacked and robbed of their phones.
