Transcorp Invests $2M to Boost Young Entrepreneurs in Nigeria

Transcorp Group has announced a commitment of $2 million to empower young entrepreneurs in the Niger Delta and across Nigeria, in collaboration with the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF). This initiative will support 1,250 entrepreneurs by 2026, with each beneficiary receiving a $5,000 seed fund to start and grow their businesses.

Omogiafo, the Group Chief Executive Officer of Transcorp Group, emphasized the importance of enabling individuals to create value within their communities. The initiative prioritizes host communities in the Niger Delta, with 625 entrepreneurs being supported in a single year.

The total beneficiaries include 430 from the Niger Delta states, with Delta State alone having 254 entrepreneurs empowered. This partnership underscores Transcorp's purpose-driven approach as a corporate organization, with a market capitalization of 5 trillion naira and 300,000 shareholders.
