Transcorp Power Reports ₦41.2 Billion Dividend Payout

Transcorp Power Plc, a subsidiary of Transcorp Plc, held its 13th annual general meeting in Abuja, where it celebrated its financial performance and announced a total dividend payout of ₦41.2 billion, comprising an interim dividend of ₦11 billion and a final dividend of ₦30 billion. The company reported a significant revenue increase from ₦305.94 billion to ₦398.27 billion for the year ending December 31, 2025, showcasing sustained growth driven by enhanced generation capacity and operational efficiency.

Transcorp Power reduced its loan obligations by approximately ₦7 billion, strengthening its balance sheet and improving profit outlook. Chairman Emmanuel Nnorom emphasized the company's commitment to delivering sustainable value and contributing to Nigeria's socio-economic development.

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Peter Ikenga highlighted the company's resilience in facing transmission challenges while maintaining strong performance. Transcorp Power has transformed the Ughelli power plant, increasing its generation capacity by 500%, making it one of Nigeria's largest gas-fired power stations.
