Transcorp Hotels Plc Defies Headwinds, Grows Revenue By 60% To N47.57bn in H1 2025

Transcorp Hotels Plc, a subsidiary of Transnational Corporation Plc, defied economic headwinds in H1 2025 by achieving a 60% revenue growth to N47.57 billion. The unaudited financial statement filed with the Nigerian Exchange Limited showed a strong performance with a significant rise in revenue compared to the same period in 2024.

The company reported a profit of N6 billion, a 71% increase in gross profit, and a 60% increase in revenue from room sales. Despite rising operating expenses due to energy costs and naira devaluation, the firm managed to maintain a positive cash position and improve its gearing ratio.

Employee costs also increased, possibly due to expansion and hiring to support revenue growth. Analysts attribute the success of Transcorp Hotels to the favorable economic climate boosting the hospitality and tourism sector in Nigeria.
